I so agree. I take pride in placing the marks in the right spot! I love to see the marks and to touch the welts. Actually, nowadays if a sub says he refuses to be marked because a vanilla Partner might see, I refuse to play. I respect the other persons wishes and I respect My own wish to mark. Cane marks are my favourite (across the bottom), especially when from cold, the raised welts that fade down to red marks are just delicious. Strangely though (wooden) paddle marks don't do it for me as they seem to produce a much more localised and deeper bruising. | |||

I don't have much to add to this, lest to say that I agree with most of what was said. I get so excited at bruised and broken skin from playing. It's the gift that keeps on giving. I've had the most delicious bruise across my breast for the past 10 days, and it's not going anywhere any time soon, and the cane marks from last Friday which broke the skin have morphed into a deep yellow bruising which is slightly sore to the touch. For him it's a mark of how much I'm willing to suffer for his pleasure, and for me it's a mark of how much I'm willing to push myself. I feel like a 15 year old kid showing off the love bite on her neck to her friends in high school, but I don't care. I get excited thinking of not only the fun which took place to give me the markings, but also the fun which is going to happen in the future. The more intense the pain, the longer lasting the marks; I find canings quite difficult to take, but I think about building up the pain tolerances until I get marks which can last a fair while. It's a journey. I spoke to a girl at a BDSM club recently and she expressed her jealously at the fact that her skin wasn't sensitive to bruising and so she had nothing but memories to go on. It's something of a badge of honour, it seems. | |||

Oh, how I wish I bruised more easily! Even a fairly hard caning produces little bruising, if any at all. Which makes me sad because I get such a rush of pleasure poking and prodding at bruises -- my own, that is! A really delicious hurty-but-good pain, kinda like when you rub a pulled muscle. Mmmm. I actually get jealous when other people have really good bruises. The bruises can be acquired through completely non-sexual/ non-BDSM means...it's just the actual bruises themselves that I love.
