Any recommendations for a good scary movie, as opposed to the torture porn of Saw-like movies.
The last film that made me jump was (surprisingly) Paranormal Activity. I think this was due to watching it in an old, empty (apart from me), creaking, house late at night.

the grudge made me jump, can't think of any others at the mo, but agree with paranormal activity, although i couldn't bare to watch it all i found it hard to watch with the way it was filmed.
