As noted in my Survival Bracelet thread I have purchased 100ft of 3mm 550 paracord. I've always wanted to try a few rope tricks and now is my chance to learn. Now things I have to ask. Best way of cutting it? Sealing ends to stops frays? Good sources of rope trick techniques? And possible kinky uses? Ends can be cut with a hot knife, or sealed with a lighter after cutting. A drop of superglue and putting a piece of heat shrink tubing over ends works well.

"The Knot Book" by Geoffrey Budworth is a source of knots and a few tricks.
Be careful, 3mm is going to bite!

There is some beautiful toe bondage that you can do with para cord, which essentially keeps the ankles totally together by connecting them to the toes - I'm pretty sure there's a how to in one of the two knotty boys books. | |

Ahh well, once again I succumb to tempation despite financial hardships and find myself with two knotty boy books and a length of cotton rope courtesy of Amazon! ~~Sighs~~ Lots of rope tricks in my future and the annoying thing is I'm the subby who wants to be tied!! It's still fun to know the technical side of the process. That way if your partner gets stuck you can offer helpful advice that if they have already tied your hand they won't understand a word of because you can't gesture. It's generally easier to start tying with broader rope and work your way down so the cotton rope would be good for practice. This said your 3mm chord would be good for a version of the rope corset found in the two knotty boys books. Use it round the thumbs for a super quick escape free thumb cuff. You can walk about with a meter and half (about what you'll need) of fine chord in your back pocket with out any one noticing. Very quick trick. You are the very devil of a man! So get the behind me demon! |
