New Munch ( I HOPE )UPDATE (10)

My sub and I run a pub in Thrapston, which is east N-Hants just off the A14 NN14 post code. We are looking at setting up a munch as we have a seperate function room, are fairly new to the area and getting out to other events is damn near impossible at the moment.

We are thinking once a month possible a thursday evening with tea coffee and a few nibbles available. If there is enough interest we would start it at the end of july.

If you need directions its junction 13 of the A14 and follow the signs into thrapston we are on the right hand side as you enter the town. We look forward to meeting you all.

"You're in an area pretty well covered, the Northampton, Corby & Peterborough ones are all fairly close. If you want to give it a go, choose a night when you don't *compete*, so that it's an addition rather than a choice.

The Northants one is on the 1st Wednesday and the 3rd Wednesday on alternate months. Peterborough is on the 4th Tuesday. Corby is on the 2nd Tuesday. Avoid Fridays cos that's Ceasars night (for now).

I did look on the Munch listing but could mot find the Corby Munch - let alone it's venue

Hi, I've seen your posts, and noted that you've already had one munch and another one planned in August. Good luck with the new venture.

The most helpful advice I can offer for you at this moment is the importance of building a network of friends to advertise and spread the word. I run the Peterborough munch and have so far shown my face at 13 different munches around the area in the last 24 months. I'm hoping to keep on munching at different munches for some time, and keep connecting with new friends.

Hopefully in the future you'll be able to employ someone to cover the bar for those nights when you want to go out and build a network of new friends into the scene.

I'll try to make it to one of the Thrapston munches in the future.
