Work has been a bit hectic of late, so I've had no choice but to do whatever is needed and then fit in some play wherever I can. However, the last few days have been quite amazing.

I found myself on the receiving end of the most spectacularly lavish hospitality from a client and in fabulous surroundings too. Not only that, J was welcome to come along too and join in the fun for a couple of days, which she did with tremendous style and made a very good impression. She also demonstrated a capacity for knocking back Pimms to a degree that I was hitherto unaware that she could manage and she remained seemingly sober throughout too.

I had to cut short one of my working days so that we could get to the A&R party that evening, but that was no problem. However, once we cleared up after the excellent party ( most definitely one of our better ones ), we got to sleep after 3 and were up again by 6:30 so that I could drive for a couple of hours to get back to where I was working. The plan was to get some breakfast at the hotel and shower before going to work, but we seemed to get a little distracted before setting off and I only had time at the hotel to throw my belongings in my bag and check out before starting work.

Once I finished and got home, I crashed out on the sofa and am now wide awake and unable to get to sleep.

Maybe one day I'll grow up and get a proper job, but there has been little sign of that so far and when I occasionally find myself having a brilliant weekend like this one, there seems little reason to change.

It's a long time since I've enjoyed so much fun over a weekend, although I do have a feeling that the middle of August might be an amazing time too but for entirely different reasons.

Happiness can never be underated, always good to know it is alive and still kicking,continue enjoying every second.
