Why would you open this blog? Why on Earth would it matter to anyone if an internet stranger is supporting one team or another in a football match? Why would I think who I'm supporting or not supporting is so portentous that anyone would give a flying fuck? Why have all my friends, who don't follow football, have not watched any qualifying matches and probably couldn't name 3 of the England squad suddenly started talking about how 'we' will do? Why are taxi drivers and shop assistants asking me if I think 'We' will bring 'it' home?
I've considered telling them that I was unfortunately not selected.

I would prefer for them to go out so my staff will stop bitching about not being able to get holidays or early finishes, due to others being off the mark quicker and booking them in already. Had to take one of my staff (he is 59 years old!) to one side on Wednesday and tell him that if he did not tone down his opinion, at me, for not being able to get away I would have to take action on it. Bloody ridiculous attitude from a very fine member of my team, but he had barraged me for 2 days when he knew it was out of my hands and Senior Management had spoken from upon high! My team even told him he was out of order and he did apologise the next day (But I think it was only because I had pushed and pushed at the Seniors and we got radios first off, and then let as many colleagues off the floor to go and watch the 2nd half in the internal coffee house) . He then went and asked for the day of the final off..*sigh* It is turning sensible people into unreasonable, and quite selfish, ones. RD xx

To see if your reasons are the same as mine. Mine are mainly that I want England to lose to annoy all those over opinionated fans who drive you mad with their pointless opinions. However if England lose then they will come out with a whole other bunch of opinions generally based around how they would have done it if they were in their place. So ultimately I just don't give a crap who wins, I just want it over with so they will shut up sooner. I always behave. I just don't specify how. | |

It gets on my tits, too. ETA ~ What a stupid saying!! Lol... It's meant to mean that something is annoying but... I love having my tits played with (I just hate football, all aspects of it).

We have a 32" LCD telly up in the office and have watched every 3.00pm kick off . Its been cracking ! Anyone wants time off to watch , support , travel to South Africa i will let em go ! I know we (England) will fall flat on our faces us usually do and i usually sit waiting for it to happen , being a supporter of the mighty Blackburn Rovers i know what it like to suffer , spent many a season bar one being slowly tortured by them ! I hope i am wrong about England but i fear today is our final , how fecking happy would i be to be wrong ! Fuck my mind , it will go all night and not leave a wet patch ! | |

As a shop assistant, I'm on your side. I couldn't give a toss about the football, yet every single customer insists on talking to me about it. Luckily, I'm not at work today, so I can hide from it.
