one minute rant (2)

black_eyed_boy's profile

I was walking with a friend next to a rather large pond .

She was on the inside, closer to the murky waters.

We were talking about life, love, cheese and having a really nice time.

The sun was out, the trees were blooming and the grass was grass. We were just two platonic friends going for a stroll.

But I had a problem, no matter the conversation or how jovial it seemed my inner demon was screaming “push her in, push her in”.

I had to put my hand in my pocket and pinch my left testicle just to subdue the urge.

It's not that I wished her harm or wanted her to drown, it's not that I thought it was hilarious or an anecdote I could tell my Grand kids one day.

I just wanted to see what other people would do? Would they dive in? Would they scream and run? Would the ducks attack her? Or would they turn into a mob and beat me to death.

I didn't mind the outcome I just wanted to know the score.

But society says it's wrong to push someone into a dirty pond so instead she stayed dry and was able to enjoy her cream tea and scone without having to wring out her socks.

I was left in faraway land, wondering the consequence.

Is it just me or does everyone have to suppress that little voice inside their head?

That voice that can argue that it's just fine to run around the street with a pair of pants on your head, pulling a deranged face and screaming “bllliiippp” into passer by's mugs.

It's okay to start a conversation with a stranger on the tube without being deemed a weirdo.

I have the urge to turn around on the bus and smash the i-pod of some bling ridden wigger whose polluting the ozone with a sterile rap love song (you know the type, the one with the singer who goes “eeeehhh”, “oooh” for twenty minutes before some dip shit in sunglasses mutters about how hard it is to be a gangsta in l-u-v) and inform him with a version of morse code via my fists and his face that he is everything that is wrong with the world.

Not allowed.

I can't run into a church, synagogue or mosque and scream you're all wrong!!!

I'd love to run up to an elephant whilst holding a mouse just to see if it jumped on to legs but then I'd probably be chopped up by animal rights activists.

Though I would love to protest for the right to party and destroy everything that annoys you I kinda realise that there are holes in that idelogogy.

It's flawed and for my own self preservation I'm glad we are not allowed to push people into lakes.

To be honest, if people were allowed to do anything they wanted I probably wouldn't make it through the day.

Some fucker would stamp on me for having weird coloured hair and as I recovered from that I'd probably be ran over by some old gimp who hates the fact that my trousers are too baggy.

So anarchy, chaos, fun to think, bugger to make work.

I'm glad I haven't been out having cream tea with you lately. I always knew that it's booze that keeps you calm and civilized.

Cock teaser to the Gentry.

The questions you're asking yourself kind of go along the lines of some of the existential b/s that was explored by philosophers a century or so ago. Read Gide's "Les Caves du Vatican", there're some interesting characters in that including one who has a little voice telling him to push a stranger off a train despite having absolutely no motive to do so...
