A very kind lady sent me a beautiful picture of a red cardinal the other day. i loved it so much that i now have this beautiful bird as my computer background.
The timing of this special gift is so perfect, as this bird reminds me of the wonderful character that i first came across last year whilst in Texas.
And tomorrow night this bird will take on special significance as Master and i both raise a glass to a wonderful man who finally lost his fight for life a few days ago. Its his memorial tomorrow and though we cannot be there we are going to do our best to celebrate the life of this man, and those whos lives he touched while he was with us.
i have this beautiful fantasy that perhaps he will now fly as free as my friend the cardinal, and will be like the bird i used to see. The sight of which always raised my spirits.
Rest well friend, and fly as that bird flies and watch over the ones that you love.

That's lovely Cally, i only met him a couple of times but he was a lovely man. Tomorrow is the 3rd anniversary of the day Don had his stroke and in truth the day i lost the man i loved.
