...Chris Sievey aka Frank Sidebottom...'What's that got to do with art'!? I hear you cry...Well...
Being a great fan of his, I thought I'd paint a picture of him in memory of such a great Manchester musician/comedian/artist.
Yes, Frank was into his 'art' and displayed his work at various Manchester venues.
His quirky Mancunian wit always went down well in his home town, and abroad (ie...Outside Greater Manchester) 
I'll link a pic once I get my camera back from the folks (I left it there last weekend)

Only just spotted this post , shame on me  Tho' my first ever blog was dedicated to Big Frank . His art work is a fantastic as everything else he did . Frank's Fantastic Funeral Fund on Facebook reached over £20K. He will be sadly missed , he was unique & wonderful. If you got the joke he was pure genius , if you didn't he was pure isle . Bitter sweet........ Last night was Frank's Free Fantastic Farewell at the Castlefiled arena in M/C It really was FANTASTIC to see so many people there especially when everyone joined in with " Guess who'd been on Match of the Day ? " The video with Mike Joyce [ex-Smiths drummer] & Charlie Chuck ,dare I say it fantastic , it really was you know it was . The answer to the question.... You have in your big shorts ! I would have loved to have gone, only I was working that evening  ...Glad it went well...Frank deserved a good send off. I was there in spirit, if not in body. Tally Ho! |
