Having just stumbled across punternet where men or women review here experiences with escorts or massage services, Is there such a thing for domination services or dominatrixes? Just wondering how useful it could be for the real professionals out there, who live and breathe BDSM, would obviously get better reviews than the women who think its a quick way of making a few quid with not much effort put in. Or do you think it would be too hard to moderate and make sure people dont lie when putting up experiences of reviews?? Would like to find out if this is doable, and when reviewing, there would also be a link to the website of the dominatrix in question! Just looking for peoples opinions on this point! The problem being I don't think you would ever get a negative review and if you did it would stay there very long and/or the person who wrote it would vet ripped to bits. i can't think of anything to say here | ||

Yes. These are the two main places. You'll also find some Mistresses on Punternet and Max Fisch. At Pduk (linked above) we do have various rules to prevent either adverts by Mistresses in disguise or disgruntled rivals. Negative reviews do sometimes happen... In those circumstances the Mistress usually gets the right of reply before the review goes live. | ||

UKM operates the same way as PDUK and I agree with Mistress Susannah (I usually do  ) about negative reviewsFwiw I am not really sure how valuable reviews are to either the domme or the sub. You can usually spot the "planted" ones as they are over effusive. Reviews do help re things like equipment and style of the domme but I think they should only be used as an extra research tool after the website and (most importantly) contact with the lady concerned I tend to take more notice of reviews if they are written by someone I know Re reviewers being ripped to shreds - UKM (and I guess PDUK too) don't allow replies to reviews unless it's the PD responding to an adverse one Edited 24 Jun 10, 9:25 PM by lisal | ||

Guessing again. Negative reviews do exist. On UKM and PDUK Nobody has the right to reply apart from the Mistress concerned. What about a specific review site with a reviewer that visits dommes with a view to reviewing them either in a mystery shopper fashion or with the dommes knowledge, that way the reviews would be consistent and one would hope unbiased. Some of the problems i could see with this would be monetizing the site effectively to provide a self sustaining income for the continuing visits required to keep the site up to date. Even assuming you could run such a thing cost neutral at best that's a hell of a lot of Pro-Dommes all over the country the time required would be excessive. | ||

In practise it wouldn't work, least of all because no two subs are alike, as are no two PDs. BDSM is too broad. It's very hard to be subjective about such a personal experience. What an excellent idea - could be made more workable if you had different reviewers for different parts of the country - or for different kinds of kink - e.g. a CP expert / DS devotee / cross dressing connoisseur: and readers might gradually get a feel for the reviewers' own foibles & blindspots, and therefore come to a better notion themselves of how well they might get on with a particular PD.
I'm happy to volunteer my services. I would of course be completely immune to any bribes, though willing to accept freebies.
