It's not so much about what they look like (for me)... it's more about what they make the male feel like. Some men love to feel vulnerable and, sometimes, what they wear can help them get into the sort of mind-frame that increases the enjoyment... if the male sub is highly aroused when wearing them and having certain acts carried out on him (while he's wearing them) that leads to more pleasure for both the D and the s, in my opinion.
