It's that time of the month again when we hold the Oldham Open Munch. This will be next Wed 16th of June at The Bulls Head, Oldham Rd Failsworth starting at 8pm till the bar closes at 12.30. There will be sandwiches provided and drinks including tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available at the bar. If you are new to our munch just ask at the bar for sez. As the pub is open that night please come vanilla as we don't want to scare the locals. This month we will be selling some of Excalibur's toys, the proceeds of which will be going to Wood Steet mission, so come along and help this charity in /ex's memory  For more info, including directions, please contact 07904950790 and ask for either Martyn or sez. Ty for a most enjoyable evening ... to those not in the know about this Munch, as indeed I wasn't until last evening ... let me tell you right now that this is the most inclusive and friendly 'nilla Munch that I have ever attended. I have been to Munches up and down the country ... often visiting the local ones when on holiday ... and whilst the welcome/warmth is normally present to a degree I have never experienced such a successful attempt at full inclusion as these lovely people displayed last evening ... pure magic.
I have to add that, having attended a play munch at this venue a fortnight back (in nervous kitten mode), it was fun last night to play 'spot the perve' in reverse ... usually one moves from seeing peoples 'nilla before having the chance to admire them in all their finery but this time I was seeing most of you for the first time in 'nilla and I'm sure that helped to break down so many walls Far away is close at hand in the images of elsewhere |
