I have several asian friends who have recommended threading as it apparently causes less ingrown hairs and the hair is finer, and yes, they do have sensitive areas done, but I'm not sure about the pubic area ---------§-----------

Regrowth on my leg waxing was horrific - I tried everything to cure it....exfoliating, creams, ointments, incantations. Gave it 18 months of full leg waxing, but the first week was always bliss with gorgeously smooth legs. The following 2 weeks of regrowth were just awful.

Waxing is great (and I find the regrowth does get finer), but it's the in-between times when you're waiting for it to get long enough to wax again that drive me mad. And ingrown hairs, boo!

Exfoliating should be the solution to having bad regrowth. Get a dry exfoliating brush to use twice a day, or you can also use it in the shower. Ingrown hairs should be stopped by that, and after waxing for a long time the hair really should get finer!

Oh and of course moisturizing after a shower is also essential!

I've just (this weekend) taken delivery of a Tria, a home laser thingummybob - after doing loads of research on all the different models, that's the one I plumped for (the fact it is the most expensive notwithstanding).
Waaaay too early to tell if it works, of course, though it hurts in exactly the same motherfucker way salon laser hair removal did ( I've had laser treatment before, and a few years on some new follicles are waking up... having got used to nothing, it's time to battle them again! Hence the Tria purchase... we shall see. But as the only part of me that takes to waxing are the eyebrows (everywhere else bleeds and looks a mess) it's my chosen alternative. |
