Sometimes in your life a person comes into it and touches you in a way that at first you arent even aware of, but then kerplunk you realise that through knowing them your life will never be the same again.
A certain person came into Masters and my life a couple of years ago now. He is a quiet man, a man who has lived his life the way that he thought best. A man who i didnt really know that well, but who i wish i could have the chance to know better. Sadly that is not going to happen.
But this same man opened up his life and his home to us. He welcomed us, he, as he always had, he gave us the gift of himself.
i feel privileged to have been allowed the chance to call this man a friend. To get to know his wife and family and to see how highly he is regarded amongst his friends.
None of us know what the future holds for any of us, all we can do is to grasp these 'touching' moments whenever they present themselves and to realise just how very special they are.
So to a very very special man, i say thank you friend, and god speed on your next journey, wherever it may take you.
