Hardcore face-slapping (free from CGI), intense bullying, humiliation, institutional-level racism and homophobia, objectification and manual labour regimes, reed-thin ugly-pretty boys smoking faaaags while playing pool, and harsh middle-aged men in big glasses and cheap suits.
THERE'S NO DOLLY MIXTURE IN HERE, POOFTAH.
And people think Secretary is kinky?! Gawd bless the 70s.

I watched that again not long ago, harsher than i remembered. Balls in a sock (whack) Always reminds me of when we where in a pub, a young but big fool acting until an old man picked up a ball and cracked it off his napper, he said to him " if you don't fuck off you'll get the blue ball next" lol brilliant. Priceless, comedy moment ( you had to be there) There is'nt any laughs to be had in Scum.

Wasn't consensual. Wasn't kinky Left me despairing of the world. I watched Harry Brown recently and that left exactly the same bad taste in my mouth. The Gene Pool could use a little Chlorine Edited 10 Jun 10, 7:57 PM by candle_in_the_wind

the line "whos the daddy now " is able to bring a certain friend of mine out in a cold sweat even now . Good girls blush during naughty scenes in the movies. Bad girls smile because they know they can do better.

I also love the "where's your tool" line. I do love both versions of the film. I have watched these a few few similar (such as 'Made In Britain', 'one summer' etc) recently and find the era and grittiness of the life portrayed compelling viewing.

I dunno. I've always figured kink to be in the mind of the beholder. Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: Why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: Why not marry safe science if you love it so much.

Spent 6 months in Borstal in my younger days and the movie was actually quite realistic. Guess thats why it was banned for so long from national tellivision.
Darling, I'll bathe your skin, I'll even wash your clothes, Just give me some candy before I go. Oh darling, I'll kiss your eyes and lay you down on your rug, Just give me some candy before I go.

I watched that by accident when i was quite young. It scarred me for life, it makes me ill to see a guy wearing dungarees. I'm so fucking fabulous, i piss glitter.

I remember finding the rape scene quite shocking at the time. Powerful but pretty depressing stuff. 'The perfect life will be the one which closes in the assurance that the last of his final vocabularies, at least, really was wholly his.'

Pretty damned close to how life is like in a prison. Revenge is a wasted emotion |
