As i write i am tethered to Mistress in theee most comfy bed, in our 200 year old kooky, hopefully haunted, charming and beautiful hotel, on the Welsh coast
Rewind to 8am this morning...
"Pack kitten, we're going to the beach"
"Yes Mistress..."
An hour or so later and we're off on one of Mistress' Marvellous Mystery Trips...spontaneous, wonderful weirdness guaranteed...
3 and a half hours, one rather hilarious incident involving rhubarb, some sheep, low-flying aircraft, Mistress' bare arse and a passing car (don't ask, She'll kill me...no really) later...we arrived at the hotel, promptly dumped our gear and headed for a tiny bay that Mistress knows
You would never find it if you didn't know it was there, at the bottom of a single-track road and then a walk down a tree-shrouded, blubell scattered pathway onto the cliff, before steep steps onto the beach below
A beautiful crescent of pure sand nestled in rock walls, the sea clear and still, stretching out to meet the sky, no more than a dozen people here and there, enjoying the peace
Idyllic...
Had some nibbles then built a fire for later, been a long time since i built a fire on a beach, so long since i'd been to a quiet British beach...it was so bloody good just to do what we wanted and get a bit 'natural'...i could feel my soul loosening a little
Mistress decided a swim was in order, for me of course, water being far too cold for anything but foolish kittens and i fair froze my fur off diving under the Irish Sea...
...it was wonderful...
...and as i swam out there i looked back and watched Her as She walked along the shoreline, Her hair in the breeze, that far away look She has sometimes and realised again just how beautiful She is and not for the first time today, felt the butterflies inside and understood how much i love Her...
Dried off and lit the fire, Akela woulda been proud of me, caught first time and a little beauty it turned out to be too. The other people on the beach were mostly packed up as evening set in so it was just us, our little fire and a small group a way off having a late barbecue having just arrived from three cruisers moored offshore
Time to get nekkid...heh !
Mistress delighted in draping me over kelp covered rocks, exposing my soft bits to the local crustaceans and snapping away as i floundered around in the salty stuff, though She let me take some truly beautiful shots of Her round the fire...will get em uploaded when we get home hopefully
Just had fish and chips and a good shower and i'm laid here, rope round wrist, watching Mistress sleep after a nice hot bath, having had the most wonderful day
And looking at Her, i'm reminded again just how beautiful She is, how madly spontaneous and deeply loving She is, how Her smile is perfect and Her happiness such a reward in itself
And how so very lucky i am to be Hers...
