I hadn't planned on using the whole tub although we did once go through an entire 5 litre tin of olive oil in an Italian hotel once. ...before spending the rest of the night trying to scrub it out of the quartzite tiles they had chosen for their bathroom walls.

Drinking that much olive oil might leave you a little, how can I put this delicately, lubricated. Even if it is extra virgin.

We'd just had a week in a little secluded cottage in northern Tuscany (private pool + no neighbours = no clothes!) and so had lots of olive oil left over - yes it was extra virgin! - seemed a shame to just throw it out.

A wonderful way to spend an evening...until the clean-up

Never heard anything from the hotel though so I guess they were used to such shenanigans!
