Hum hum hum, humming about that one. It is nice to get to know someone without seeing them, adds a bit of mistery. When you feel you know that person then exchange pics. By that time the pic you see will have all the character and feeling you have built up between that person. You won't see the bad points but will be purely focused on what attractive points you have developed over your conversations. Some of us cannot put up our real images, even although we know we are gorgeous, due to work, relationships etc etc. Lol Rhubarb

Profile pictures are the only reason to log onto this weird irrelevant internet site. Most of you chat complete bollocks and sit around for hours discussing fantasy online bdsm. At least there are some of you who have the good sense to turn yourself into whores and upload your pictures and when i log on i have something to wank over. I salute you!

Actually hers is a prime example of a misleading profile picture. She is in that picture, but she's not the model holding the magazine.

I agree with this.. I was not aware of people being able to see my FACE pic in twitter and facebook so swapped the main one for something which still represents me but will not draw too much attention. I have, however, also kept the real pictures as I'd like people scanning my profile to have an idea what i look like. i dont trust pictures too much anyhow, as i rely on the chemistry and personality to make a judgement on potential partners. by the way, have you noticed the number of people who break IC rules by posting pics of their cocks? I have spent good half hour clicking the report button! the worse is that they are sooooooooo ugly... have seen more horrible cocks in 5 minutes than i did in the past 5 years! (end rant)

Bottom line... ' a pretty photo from the internet is A: Potentially copyright theft B: potentially misrepresentational or better phrased a fraudulent presentation of self. If it is a pictire of a curte kitty or suchlike - clearly it is not B but it may certainly be A and the author may be deeply unhappy for such image to be used in a context they may not embrace. As such and a creative artist working in cgi environs with a bunch of 'wares' sites currently stealing my work and delivering it for free ( whilst I spent a year unemployed.... because the sales figures fell away) I would have to say anyone using quote unquote " a web image" is out of order.

I have a mixture of both. I'm not fussed if people have pics of themselves up or not really. It's nice to know what someone looks like but the way i see it is that it may not even really be them in the pic so why does it matter.
Pervable pics are always good tho. I'm so fucking fabulous, i piss glitter.

I think it all comes down to what people are looking for on here. For example. if one is just looking to socialise and interact via the site only, then there really is no need for the person to have their real pic on their profile. However, for those of us who are looking to actually meet similar minded people for an active 'relationship', then a real picture is going to be helpful, just as a completed profile is. |
