What a confuddle you have yourself in there.I was wondering if there was a clique of people sitting at the table ... instead of saying "hello old chap can i have your seat ".Why didnt you just ask to join them .I am new its my first munch ". I guarantee they woulda opened a seat space and made conversation. I hope you dont mind a slight criticism ....from what i've read in your blogs you dont want to or cant be bothered having to do it yourself and wanting an easy ride .(inho). I hope your first munch hasnt put you off .... as one famous spider said to Robert the Bruce if at first you dont succeed try , try again.
Another possiblility is that the reason they didnt draw you into there company is that they are used to vanilla popping in and lurking or passing through. Once you let them know its them you are looking for and yes you do want to talk , discuss and get to know more , most people will be welcoming. It also depends on what you want from a munch . munches are not designed to meet the sub or Dom/me of your dreams but to meet like minded BDSMers to gain knowledge and friends(though happily often from being a real fully rounded person some lucky people do get to meet the Dom/me, sub of there dreams at these munches.)
All these munches where you had no preconcieved ideas or perceptions , did you acutally change your behaviour or did you repeat your tactics on your approaching the munches ????The only person that can change anything is YOURSELF, its you that has to put effort into it, to gain any connection with other BDSMers.
