Many claim Warhol's best work of art was 'Warhol' - certainly the Warhol we see in our minds is not the Wrhol of his early years - he was the expert of self re-invention and reinvention of himself as brand. Lady Gaga is clearly styling herself (or being styled - says Mr cynic) along the same lines to achieve as her album states - "the fame - ". I guess it is working.
