I've been to see a couple of pro dommes recently who have insisted on sitting down and filling out a questionnaire before the session began asking about likes and dislikes, medical conditions etc. This is despite a fairly long and detailed email exchange and phone conversation about the session in both cases. Personally speaking this just doesn't work for me. I asked the lady to take control immediately when on arrival and if there was anything she was unsure about to discuss this in advance. One of the ladies told me that she keeps the forms in a reference file so she can refer to them on the next visit. I find that the best dommes don't need to do this and can be more spontaneous and reactive. My new policy is that I will no longer visit dommes who practice domination by questionnaire. | |||||

I do like sarcasm though! Sorry if the post seemed like a rant - I just needed to get it off my chest. It annoys me no end when you spend a lot of time (and money) on a session and the lady can only operate by reference to a questionnaire.

It's one of her prerequisites. she's a Domme. She decides what works for her and conducts her sessions accordingly.
Bah, humbug, somebody is going to sulk because he got only a semi-hard.
And she did: by asking you to fill in a questionnaire. It's part of the rules in her presence. You have to go through that in order to go into session with her. Obviously, not a scenario that you enjoy wanking to, but she's in charge and has her own preferences.
I find that the best Dommes are all different.

I think it's foolish to not see someone just because they operate a questionaire system - surely you take things on a case by case basis. Some Mistresses find them really useful whilst others don't.... it's not guaranteed to give you a better or worse experience.... I think it's incredibly sensible that the Mistress has some sort of reference for future sessions. I don't operate the questionaire system, but I do have detailed emails to look back on. Surely it's better the Mistress has your hard limits "on file" (as it were) so that the session flows when she does see you again.

I can see your point. The questionaire could be included in the email exchange prior to your visit, unless she needs a signature, in which case she could print the email out in advance for you to sign. Certainly it should not be inclded in the time you have paid for. | |||||

Well i think it shows a lack of confidence in her own abilities. Quite happy to boycott the questionnaire merchants from now on. My best experiences have all been with those who don't need to hide behind a form. | |||||

Whereas I think it shows someone who is thorough and passionate about their job. Even though I'm not an advocate of the questionaire system myself (we all have our own quirks), I can understand why it works for others. Your experiences are your experiences..... I'm sure other submissives would feel quite differently. Do what you want, I guess... cut yourself off from some perfectly good Mistresses for (in my opinion) petty reasons, if that's what does it for you!

I'm not keen on them myself - that's a personal thing.
I can see your point about flow - it can seem rather formal having to sit down with a pen and paper just before a session. Having said that, I had an absolutely blinding session with a lady, who very occasionally posts on IC, after sitting down and completing a longish questionnaire and I agree with Mistress Susannah (as I usually do Did you not know about the questionnaire? Most websites I've seen do say about them pre session if the domme uses them. If not I've got to say you've been pretty unlucky recently with your communications - what with this and the double booking
