Freddy Mercury singing Who Wants to Live Forever... Bright Eyes from Watership Down... The same Pink song as above... Witney Houston I Will Always Love You from the Bodyguard

Some cheesy, some not so, but all will do the same thing...

However, if i am in the mood for a really good cry, then classical music, no matter what it is, can be the perfect backdrop...

I really love threads like this; I'm a bit of a muso and could while away hours listening to new things and getting lost in old favourites but it's equally lovely to listen to what others like and to enjoy new suggestions. I also love hearing the reasons why folk have chosen certain songs - thanks guys!! X

A Place Called Home by Kim Richey- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UQnfomKtns

And yes, it makes me cry because of the ep of Angel it featured on! Oh and speaking of- the Buffy/Angel love theme close your eyes gets me too!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63PDuiZAxjU&featu...

Oh and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2b3aZQvOI8 which is a piece of music from Firefly called the funeral. And yes it is sad.

For more personal reasons, Firecrackers by Lisa Loeb (I cant find a youtube link for it, I dont know where else to go, the internet is a confusing place)

In fact, the entire Firecrackers album by Lisa Loeb is amazing and moves me.

Another really personal one is the album The Man Who by Travis, if I had to say one track it would be Luv http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOhhYJf8I7E I listened to that album a lot during a very, very bad part of my life and although it had nothing to do with love or romance this album brings back the most intense bad yet good feelings-good cos I'm out of there, with options and means to support myself.

(RAH)² (AH)³ + RO (MA + MAMA) + (GA)² + OOH(LA)² = Bad Romance

Bon Iver - re:Stacks

Ray Lamontagne - Jolene

Joni Mitchell - A Case of You (This one made me cry as I was finding it on youtube :-$)

Jason Wade - You Belong to Me (I know it's a cover but it's a bloody good cover)

Nine Inch Nails - Something I Can Never Have (especially this version)

Emo music is my speciality, I could well be posting on this blog all night!
