Ladies - thank you for your time and input! You've answered my question, I understand much more the mind set, it really isn't as far removed from how I play as a non Pro.
Respect (is is wrong I wanna put 'Sisters' after that?) *G*

I know you wren't being funny, but it foes miff me that all questions regarding "authenticity" and honesty are always aimed at PDs.

Interesting ive never noticed what your describing and cant see it in the OP either. I dont think the OP was questioning anybodies authenticity just asking a question.
Can i ask what makes you think that? I see no less authenticity from a lifestyler to a pro. Some do it when and if it pleases, some its just there from when they wake up to when they sleep.
your a pro and a lifestyler so how would you answer to someone asking about your authenticity? I dont think many would as it would seem rude and impertinent.
I suppose the same could be considered for those outside the lifestyle and pro dynamic "yes"?
It astonishes me why people take offence to pro's for whatever reason as 9/10 dont use them

That's my speciality but I don't describe myself to people as a Pro 'Domme', perhaps because the difference is that I am providing a service just for the customer. |

My question is: Why do all these questions always aimed at professional Mistresses? Why never to the ones who are only lifestyle?
there seems to be an unspoken agreement that pro-Domme,s becaue of the money involved, hae to negotiate and give in, and be, there fore, less Dominant.
But my question would be: what happens to the dominance when you don't charge, but you want to be in a relationship, and once you are in it, you want to keep it and preserve it at all costs? When you are feeling insecure for a number of reasons (age, looks, living in a remote place without a pool of like-minded people...). So these ladies, always and everytime, please themselves, tyrannically? Because there isn't (offically) any money exchanging hands? Uhmmm...

Excellent point! I was specifically coming at from the 'paying customer' angle. As a non pro I 'get' my mindset... I just wanted to know from the other side of the fence *G* No disrespect whatsoever was intended.
I just wish I had the balls to go pro...

I think I replied hat on my post (corrected for typos):
"there seems to be an unspoken agreement that pro-Dommes, because of the money involved, have to negotiate and give in, and be, therefore, less Dominant."
Nobody ever asks Dommes, doms, subs or femsubs in general where their motivation comes from. We assume they are all "authientic", this term understood as meaning that they engage in BDSM from the bottom of their hearts.
However, a PD's genuine enjoyment/interest in BDSM is often put into question. That's what I'm referring to when I mention "authenticity": we are often asked if our play is "authentic", this is, something we really enjoy and relate to.

I don't know, I'd have to read or hear the question first. My genuine motivations as a lifestyler, even my right to call myself a lifestyler, had been questioned more than once. For some people, a PD can't be anything else.
Not sure if hat replied all your questions, it's late but happy to go back to it in the morning. My website
