Looking for assistance. (6)

For some reason, I was gifted in this life with rather short arms. Although my girlfriend occasionally teases me about this, it is rarely a problem.

Now, i've noticed that (even with a handle), shaving one's back is bloody difficult. Also, shaving is too short-term a solution. So here is my plea : -

Will someone, please, please, please, give me a hand waxing my back/whole body? I promise you can laugh if it makes me yelp...

Danielle.

Hell I'm really rather supple but cannot imagine being able to shave my back even if I ever wanted to.

There's nothing wrong with finding a professional beautician and asking them to wax for you. The prices vary from location to location and whilst looking at jobs I found a 'mens only' beauty style parlour thing (Ok it was located in London) but they had the full range of waxing the whole body including back, chest, shoulders, legs, back sack and crack, eyebrows etc.

I'm not a professional but if you lived closer I would happily epilate it for you. I've done His a few times, would your girlfriend be interested in buying one of those epilate-y machines from somewhere like Boots and just doing it herself for you in the places you cannot reach yourself?

It also really doesn't take as long or isn't nearly as messy as waxing would be. Although, personally I do find waxing less painful, but that's probably because the pain is over in one quick strip and would never dream of epilating my legs although do my underarms etc.

I do hope you find a solution locally whatever you decide upon.

Danke Schoen, darling Danke Schoen. Thank you for all the joy and pain.

i was going to suggest asking if your girlfriend would help, maybe using just some ready-made cold wax strips? Or like has been suggested, epilation works great. Failing that, i'd go get it professionally done if you can afford it. Lots of places would do it, and do it well and quickly.

Re the above - i'm amazed you're able to do your underarms but not your legs! i'm exactly the opposite; i do my legs all the time but would consider epilating my underarms akin to sticking razor blades in my eyeballs.

Previous years of constant waxing means I really don't have a great deal of hair under there these days so it's really not bad, though bad habit and pure laziness has had me shaving for the last few months so getting back into waxing/epilating will be painful.

As for the OP do realise that the first few times (at least until the hair folicles soften a little) will be really more painful but it does get better with time.

Just checking with Himself, apparently the pain on chest/back/shoulder epilation as I do his on occasion feels kind of similar to the pain of tattooing, at first it's bearable then gets progressively worse, but just stick to it and it really doesn't take very long at all.

Stretching the skin sometimes helps, also prevents skin sometimes getting pulled into the motor bits of the epilator. This really doesn't happen often but can happen.

If the pain of waxing is a bit much for you, you may want to consider veet cream (much as you would still need someone to help you apply this and remove all the hair)

It lasts as long as waxing, can be cheaper and is certainly less painful (do get the cream for sensitive skin though) :)

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice :)xx

Beware...my sub1 came out with a terrible rash which lasted weeks and weeks after using hair removal cream (cant remember which brand) on his back and shoulders.

He uses it on pubic hair with no ill effects. My advice would be to do a patch test before using it extensively!!

Good Luck.......unwanted hairy bits eh eh? the tricks nature plays on us!!

I would definitely recommend a patch test with any of the creams and some waxes to be honest. Almost all depilatory methods will give you a post removal rash at some point, with waxing I sometimes get a few little spots etc but nothing major.

I don't use nair or the like anymore as I despise the smell and it takes far too long to tell the truth and the effects last maybe a week rather than the one month of hair free-ness that I get with waxing/epilation.

We tried nair on Master's chest and ended up giving up halfway through and just shaved the rest and it gave him quite a lot of reddness and rash almost immediately afterwards. I guess I'm one of the anti cream club, but if you do go down this route definitely try a patch test as it isn't always for everyone.
