I think everyone is missing the real issue here and that is that for years I've pronounced the word 'clique' as 'click' and not 'cleek' only to be told by her indoors that 'click' is wrong and American and 'cleek' is correct and British; even though the word is French and probably pronounced 'cloikierey' or something like that. I have decided to form my own clique of people who pronounce the word 'clique' as 'click'. We will sneer at 'cleekists', conspire against them; sit around fires telling tales of when we pronounced 'clique' as 'click'; have 'who can get his bell-end closest to the fire before he cries' competitions; pronounce the word 'aluminium' 'aloooooooooominum'; and sacrifice virgins to our Pagan Gods. If nobody joins me in my clique then you are obviously all part of the anti-me clique and therefore a shower of bastards and I will have to flounce right off sometime in the next decade or two. Do you fear death? Do you fear that dark abyss? All your deeds laid bare, all your sins punished? I can offer you … an escape. Edited 11 May 10, 1:20 PM by Conan_The_Librarian

What is your policy on pronouning the word "herbs" as "erbs"?

My policy is firm, merciless and unyielding just like my manly countenance when faced with a group of rock-hard, wild Cossacks, all armed to the teeth and hungry for my end. The word 'herbs' is pronounced 'burbs' in honour of the 1989 Cory Feldman comedy murder-a-thon and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Do you fear death? Do you fear that dark abyss? All your deeds laid bare, all your sins punished? I can offer you … an escape.
