Cat Trauma Continued... (9)

Following on from the start of cat trauma it's been over a month now of Maisie Moo's recovery and it feels a bit one step forward, two steps back right now. The wounds were looking a bit better but one has flared up again, and the abscess is still too open so tomorrow morning she goes in to have surgery to close them. There is still no movement in her tail though she does have increasing tone, but ultimately we won't know if her tail can be saved until her back has fully healed.

I'm absolutely bricking myself that she won't make it through the op. There aren't enough words in the universe to express how much I love my wee scone.

Anxiously...

Myself and my furry kids really are keeping our fingers and claws crossed. I know how I feel when one of my babies has been in for an op. Hugs Velvet..

Good luck to you and your cat, one of ours had to have a tail removed due to an accident, he severed his spine a few years ago.

apart from looking like a bunny rabbit when he's going up and down the stairs losing the tail has had no ill effects on him.

good luck again.

Time for some cat counselling perhaps? Show it some photos of Manx cats to reassure it. Loss of a tail is not the end of the world, and all that...
