Try the wine clubs that have been mentioned in this thread previously. They may cater for you. Also have you tried local markets (I adore their food and drink variety) or farm shops as they sometimes stock them. RD xx It is not what you say or do but the way you say or do it

There is the Lyme Bay Winery for country wines, ciders, cider brandy, mead, liqueurs, real ales and various other products like preserves and cordials. They have a shop at Lulworth Cove (there are others which you can get from their website) where you can sample the different wines and they also do mail order. http://www.lymebaywinery.co.uk/
Highly recommended. The nice lady with the whip. Edited 6 May 10, 3:37 PM by Caracal

I can thoroughly recommend Lyme Bay. I have a little shindig coming up on the Winter Solstice and their meads, ciders and 'country wines' are going to be very much part of that. As are the Druidic 'sacrifices' to be meted out upon certain snivelling wretches. I hope it's snowing by then. "He took a single sip of her pain and found it exquisite"

I am currently drinking mead so seemed quite apt reading this post. It is slightly unusual in this day and age but as everyone knows it is the drink of kings. Best M Space travels in my blood. And there ain't nothing I can do about it.

With a bit of prep and malice aforethought, brewing your own mead is very rewarding, as well as working out very cheap. Gotmead.com has lots of good advice.

I went to Lurgashall recently and was very impressed. They make wines solely from the fruit, not by adding fruit extracts to a grape juice base. The elderberry port and rose petal wines were particularly good as was the mead. Doing other stuff, those who have my number etc etc etc... |
