Hi all, It's been sometime since I last posted as I have spent the best part of a year recovering from an accident. I cannot really walk well now and will probably end up in a wheelchair. The thing I wanted to ask people's opinions about is that I used to years ago do pro-domming and was considering for a number of reasons about going back to it. But has anyone every heard of a pro-domme in a wheelchair? I know this is not a pro-domming site but I am also heavily into the lifestyle and a fellow male dom of mine suggested I post to see what people thought. Many thanks, DominaUltima Edited Wed 28 Apr 10, 8:07 PM by DominaUltima

No I have never heard of it, but that's not to say it isn't possible. "If no sexual offence is being committed it seems very odd indeed that there should be an offence for having an image of something which was not an offence," Lord Wallace of Tankerness

I know of a male Dom who is parralised from the neck down and still manages to Dom! If you wish to talk to them, not a pro, let me know and I'll ask if I can pass on details Edited 28 Apr 10, 8:10 PM by BlackMoonlight

I played for about 2 years with a lady who had severe MS, chatted her in a club because i thought her walking stick looked kinda hot Anyhow she could barely walk, had leg supports and frequently got ill afterwards.. but she was a fab top and we never had any problems.

I don't know much about Pro Dom/mes etc to tell the truth but for many people it's the mindset and how you feel and act/react to the sub rather than what you look like surely? Also you might get some people attracted to you initially due to the fact you are in a wheelchair. You may or may not want an assistant to help you at times but then again I imagine most Pro Dommes have someone present in case the shit hits the fan? (I say Pro Dommes mostly because if you do get a particularly difficult client you might want help escorting them out of the building and on the whole a strong woman will still not be as strong as a strong man). And if anyone takes offense to any of the above it's not intended that way. I just know that if I were a Pro Domme/sub I'd worry about my safety I guess.
Danke Schoen, darling Danke Schoen. Thank you for all the joy and pain.

If you ARE Domme, you are Domme, no matter what your situation or whether you are sitting or standing. Besides that, there are plenty of people who have a particular taste for women with a physical disability (for the want of a better description).
The only hurdle you have to deal with is how you feel in yourself, and this is where I should be taking my own advice. You are what you think you are, a wheelchair just means your victims will have to pander to you that little bit more, and why the hell not lol Edited 28 Apr 10, 8:21 PM by tabbi

Hell yes - go for it! I never let a little thing like physical restrictions stop me - just think around the problem and carry on regardless. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Can't see that being a problem at all??? As other people have already said. It is the attitude that counts... "The art of being a Gentleman is knowing when not to be" Quote:TheSilverFox - Circa 1986

A quote from Goethe: “What you can do, or dream you can do, begin it now. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!” It will be the attitude of others, and the built environment, that might place barriers in your way. You can adapt the environment (equipment, premises, etc) and you can change attitudes by showing your power. Here's wishing your enterprise well.
