At the risk of starting a flaming here.. but I have my fire -retardant suit ready, who WOULD you have running the country?

We have a choice to make on Thursday 6th May and someone HAS to run this country. So.... on the basis that we haven't put ourselves forward to do the job, who are we going to put in charge of running this country?

I have heard lots of people saying it doesn't make any difference who they vote for... Okay... so what happens if an extremist party in your area gets organised and manages to get elected in? Do you want extremists having influence if there is a hung parliament? This is something to really think about...

Helmet on... Incoming.....

The Lib Dems, I have to confess, have always been my fallback protest vote and on hunting and nuclear power and trident they say a lot of things with which I agree, however, actually having them in power is a thought which makes me nervous. They just seem so innocent and untried that it really does not fill me with confidence...Labour need a kicking for their complacency, the betrayal of universal socialism and their selling out to the establishment and the 1980s mean that I could never with any good conscience vote for the Tories.

Do what the voices tell you, and then do it again twice as hard and twice as fast and take an axe....scare them into silence!

I've got a decision to make tonight, seeing as my postal vote is here.

Think I've made it though. *shrug* Interesting times!

This is the thing... All three main parties are struggling to occupy the middle of the road / common-sense ground and leaving everybody confused and as a result of recent times, not necessarily trusted. I suspect now is the time for change, but which direction to shift in...

The fact that the big two parties seem terrified of a hung parliament would seem to indicate that this is our best bet. All three parties have good people in their ranks so at a time when the country as a whole is being told to pull together to get us out of the current crisis maybe the politicians can do the same and put their petty differences aside.

All you can really do is get out there and cast your vote.

I agree entirely... My feeling now is that I would like a hung parliament with the Lib_Dems having a significantly increased number of seats.

Of course the only problem is that the Lib Dems will demand changes to the voting process as a part of any deal they do, leaving us with hung parliaments for a lot longer than we actually may need them. Let's just hope that coalition government works for us.

Which election? No, seriously. . . .all previous hung parliaments have resulted in a new election within a year, most within 6 months, because the 3rd party holds the other 2 to ransom . I'm going to the bookies to get a price on an october general election :-D

I used to be normal :-(?Thank god they cured me :-D

;-) On a serious note, Nick Clegg has an air of the Mr Darcy about him. I bet he'd made a good Dom. Right, away for a cold shower :-p
