'Block user' button position (5)

Hi - could I make a suggestion for an improvement?

Next time there is a redesign going on, would it be possible to reposition the 'block' buttons well away from the others?

The other day, I was on MSN chatting to someone from here and neither of us could understand why she couldn't see the memos from me that had been sent over a couple of days and were showing up on my outgoing list. It suddenly dawned on me that she might have accidentally hit the block button last time she sent me a memo. Sure enough, that's exactly what had happened so it was easy to fix.

However, if we hadn't already had the MSN addresses of each other, we would each think the other was ignoring us and there would then be no way to get in touch again. I'm sure we can't be the only people to have experienced this. If the block buttons were further away from the other buttons, it would be less likely to happen.

Thanks for reading this - hope you can do something about it.

It does seem to be a problem and there was a blog a few days back that highlighted this. I do check from time to time as I've found it does happen but don't go into that area often as the dozen or so there are blocked for reasons that I don't need reminding about. It is easy to block inadvertantly, especially when using the phone which I tend to most of the time rather than firing up the laptop.

The nice lady with the whip.
Everyone has the right to be equal unless and until they choose to relinquish it.
We call it play but it isn't a game - it's people's lives.

Good point! Probably much more likely to happen on a little screen. Thanks for the link. Seems it is quite a common problem after all.

I didn't realise there was a separate 'block list' - only just found it. I was going into my contacts' profiles and looking there just to check!

If people on this thread are aware of it and have found that they still did it accidentally, there must be hundreds or even thousands who don't realise they've done it but don't know to check, either.
