I like the idea of an ankle bracelet as it's discreet, and if it's lockable it can't be removed without permission.

A good sub should be obscene and not heard!

I've never used collars at all. But my lovely boy brought up the idea recently and it has rather taken my fancy to help him distinguish between total obedience times and the rest of the time. What have people used as a "collar" or similar item that can be worn in day-to-day life without being obviously kinky? He will not need to wear it all the times by any means, but I will want him to wear it sometimes in vanilla settings so something traditional wouldn't work (and isn't particularly to my taste). I'm thinking just a ribbon, or something might work, but I'd love to hear stories, descriptions and even pictures of what works for others.

I have 2 of My collared subs in scrotum collars with tags - leather puppy or cat collars are perfect for this and the tag nestles nicely on My property and is a constant reminder that they are not allowed to touch it. Another slave has a unique 'toe' collar which doesn't cause problems when he goes through airport security!

ds suggests this page: http://eternitycollars.com There are many designs online, some discrete, some not so much (e.g. wire type).

As an alternative form of everyday collar Mistress has pierced my nipple, and once fully healed is going to change the bar for a ring piercing that has a tag attached to it.

I have seen recently in various mens accessory boutiques, thin leather collars, slightly wider than a watch strap, with buckles of silver or stainless steel.

It would appear that they are in vogue, probably among the emo community. They look good & aren't out of place anywhere. You can buy one for around £40-£50 & I feel it would maybe provide the symbolism you are looking for?

How about a simple leather thong - not the underwear variety - but the type that looks a bit like a boot lace. They can be tied in different knots and look quite manly, not at all kinky. Or a simple silver chain with a disc with the BDSM sign on it attached - which can be taken to mean other things, so again isn't an immediate give-away.

The BDSM symbol is very popular for something to wear everyday that only people in the scene are likely to recognise. http://www.freakclubwear.co.uk/store/index.php?m...
