I don't think it's really up for discussion Nina, nor should you, me or any other t-girls try to tell Lady Pandora how she should run her event. i feel the same way as you and prefer there not to be a distinction between girls and t-girls especially as i do not think in reality we really had much of an advantage. i know you won lots of rosets but i think i got one 2nd place out of three events meaning several genetic girls out performed me. All we can really do is politly give our views on the subject and trust Lady Pandora to take these opinions into account when she has the difficult task of finding a balance that is aimed to keep as many people happy as possable. Never an easy task! Back to the event, i was thinking last night about other activites then racing. i do think a dressarge like at the barn would be good as it's awarded to the most pony like person and not the fastest. I remember there was an assault course of types which could be used again or maybe a *very* simple maze where a pony is led blindfolded by the trainer. I know this last idea could be problomatic as there are saftey concerns about walking in heels etc, but i think if it was a very simple maze with just a few turns left and right it would let us see the bond between pony and trainer and would different skill to award. The course could be marked out in masking tape on the floor meaning that there is nothing for anyone to trip over. I really hope if there are events using different skills and abilities then people might be less averse to t-girls joning in. As you said Lady Pandora, we are in a minority and so i might end up winning a roset for every event simply becuase there are less then 3 people competing in my 'catagory'. I would rarther handycap myself and finish last in every event then be told i had to enter the bloke-in-a-dress class as thats not really how i see myself. As always I'm sure you'll do what you decide is best Lady Pandora and look forward to the events whatever is decided. Edited 26 Apr 10, 2:33 PM by Aimee_kitty

I only won one event though, I also had a second and a third and I would have been happy to give the rosets away to real girls if I'd realized me winning them would have annoyed people. I think having a handicap system for not only TV's but young fit women would be much fairer. Something like adding 5 seconds to your time if you're a TV or if you're only 20. Double the amount if your a 20 year old TV. I'm sure most women and TV's would be happy with a system like that.

sounds like a very complicated handycap system! if they *needs* to be a handicap (and going back to the Olympic metaphore you get 18 y/o sprinters vs 35 y/o sprinters on merit) its probably best to keep it as simple as possable. Not really sure it's fair to handicap people like fizzy (should she come) just for being the best. Edited 26 Apr 10, 2:54 PM by Aimee_kitty

No but if you don't and TV's can't enter she'll win everything. Here's another thought what if I decide to have GRS? I take it then I would be able to run with the women even though I'll still run as fast and look the same as I did before having GRS?

i think that is a discussion to clog a different thread with Nina. This one is specifically for the events mentioned. You've made your point and i think its time to let it go unless you have any comments that you feel contrabute to the thread. Life isn't always fair and democratic and when decisions don't go the way you want you have to accept them in a dignified way without thowing your toys out of the pram. i agree with you that i wouldn't want to be in a seperate catagory of blokes-in-dresses (thats not how i see myself) and even less with the boy-ponies (do they get handicapped as i'll be in heels) but if that is the decision i'll accept it without complaining. Looking forward to the event whatever system of classification is dedecided is necessary. ^_^ Edited 27 Apr 10, 11:45 AM by Aimee_kitty

If I run events I accept people in whatever gender they 'present'. I see no reason to do otherwise. There are many reasons for that, but the two practical ones are: 1 Quite how and where exactly one draws the line between a cross-dresser, a transvestite, a pre-op transsexual, a post-op transsexual: does the distinction apply to 'female to male', intersex, genderqueer, as well as male to female? 2 I've never seen an event with so many ponies present, even at Pet Week in Denmark where there were nearly 70 present, where it made sense to sort people by gender. I arrange different events that would suit all physiques and constitutions: sprints, long-distance, tent-pegging, dressage, silly fun events like bursting balloons or polo. Then I let anyone take part in any they want to, regardless of gender or orientation. If anyone wants to pass up the opportunity, for whatever reason, they can do so. In particular I try to make the 'blindfold obstacle race', around traffic cones or old tyres, etc. the highlight of any event; as being a test of driver-pony communication primarily, everyone competes on an equal footing. I have seen Benji, a 70+ year old colt, win that event at De Ferre Pony Farm as he responded well to his driver, where stronger fitter ponies were all over the place in their eagerness to win.
