Hi all,

Well ... if you aren't planning to get out to tonight's H'n'H event you'll be missing out on another great event in Birmingham.

Babs & I have decided to risk leaving our pups alone for the evening, so we look forward to seeing you all tonight :).

Life is for living, untie your self imposed chains, go out & grab it with both hands. Eternity is a long time to regret "might have been's" ~ or ~ as Oscar Wilde said ~ The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. Resist it & your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden itself

I'm looking forward to this- not been before. Hopefully there will be a few familiar faces in the crowd to hang out with.

I have to say I was disappointed, not what it was made out to be from what folks had said in the past. All in all just the one act I would see again. Not worth the money spent going.

I have to say I didn't think it was as good as 4 months ago ( I missed the birthday one ). What was worse was the lack of seating in front of the stage. Big mistake as many people are unable to stand for that length of time (bad backs or joint problems for instance) plus it was a missed chance for socialising prior to the show starting.

The latter was less of an issue tonight due to the heat, but if it's colder out then people will want to sit down inside. The arrangements for the Jan event were perfect with regard to seating.

Also, why on earth have they changed the date!!! 10th July is Sparkle weekend which means a lot of TG's (by no means a a small percentage of your clientelle) will be in Manchester.

Overall still a good event but some things IMO need to revert back to where they were in January as you were definitely a little off the boil this month.

Giving honest feedback as we do really like this event now as an opportunity to dress a little differently and enjoy alternative music..........agreed on the layout points. It was better with seating at the front, and maybe some more stools around the edge etc as standing in 5" heels for hours isn't entirely amusing.

Music seemed heavily slanted towards goth/industrial scene before the performances started.......we only got there at 10pm, so may have missed the more lounge style music which we like. We liked some of the louder industrial stuff, don't get us wrong and can appreciate you are targeting various different groups in one night.

Maybe we just missed our timeslot for preferred music! Loved the TG stuff from the previous event, this was ok, but wasn't as entertaining.

Honestly, don't get the twirly things people were waving on the dance floor either.......could have someones eye out with those.

We'll be back for the next one hopefully, and we will be less tired too we hope so can stay longer!!!!!

Many thanks to everyone that braved sweltering heat and came, in many cases dressed to the heavens, to our event last night, and thank you for the feedback which we always value.

The temperature certainly gave us some challenges, and one point raised which we are aware of, was the lack of the "chair circle" in front of the stage. We took the judgement due to the temperature inside v outside that we would leave the chairs outside, and the venue event went to the extra effort of putting up a big extra gazebo in the outside area to accomodate this extra seating area. It would have been possible to move them all in, then out, then in, then out but again we took the judgement that it would cause too much disruption. We will certainly return to the original set-up in the future.

The July date change from the 4th to the second Saturday was an unfortunate consequence of a booking issue with the venue, and this date was the only alternative to not running in July - its not ideal for us either for a variety of reasons but these things happen sometimes with venues.

A huge thank you to all the crew, traders, performers & DJ's that worked very hard to put on what I feel was a great show.

Ahhhh that explains the lack of chairs inside which is fair enough given the heat...........our problem is, we don't smoke so don't like going out in the smoking areas as the stench just clings to you!!!!
