Introducing a woman to the world of kink is one thing, but there are challenges more daunting than that and with unique rewards too.
It's one thing building a relationship with somebody, but when that special somebody is a mother with four school-age children, it's important to also build a relationship with her children too.
Yesterday was our first long day out together. We decided to go fossil hunting on the Dorset coast. The weather forecast wasn't particularly promising, but we concluded that good weather wasn't essential, so we bundled the three younger kids into the car, filled up the boot with hammers & chisels together with a huge picnic and headed off for a 3 hour journey.
The weather got progressively better and by the time we were on the beach, there was not a cloud in the sky. The kids were running about wielding large hammers to break open crumbly rocks to see what was inside. They also found load of fossils just lying on the beach too. We got chance to paddle about in the sea and scrabble around in rock pools too. They came home with quite a haul of stuff and other things that could only be brought home as photographs.
It was brilliant to see them being so absorbed in what they were doing and having so much fun. It was also fabulous to spend a relatively lazy day with WD and just do ordinary things. Her kids are a credit to her and were very well behaved indeed. They even bought me a little thank you present with their pocket money. I'm now looking forward very much to the next opportunity that we get for a day out - or maybe longer. Even though it was quite a long day, there was so much more that we could have done.

Reading this took me back to my last (non-scene) partner. She had 4 kids that are grown up the eldest 2 months younger than me. Didn't need to take them anywhere but it was daunting meeting them though. There is a fine line between sanity and insanity. I have a foot firmly planted either side of that line |
