I probably shouldn't say this publically, but the cheapest form of invisible, light-beam containment system is the imaginary, invisible, light-beam containment system. Only you can hear the alarm and deal with the sub's lack of self-control appropriately. Then, as far as e-stim is concerned, ordinary r/c with a finger on the button will do. A couple of props like a PSU, bare PCB, mirrors; plus a bit of messing around with 'alignments' and you're good to go. It'd be something to do while the ads are on in the middle of Corrie or whatever. If they get suspicious just fiddle with your alignments again.
