I would agree with a lot of the statements here a) the main focus point of the viewers in a femdom film, is the mistress. natural and obvious

b) the main criteria for choosing the slave is not his looks, but his ability to take the punishment and interact naturally with the mistress. some people call it experience

c) the lack of payment to slaves means people who "rent" their looks, aka models are unlikely to be drawn to this type of shoot

Another point that hasnt been mentioned, is that in many of these Femdom films, bruising and marking occurs, some of it heavy ( and i speak of personal experience here )

Even if these marks arent permanent, they do tend to take a while to disapear. If you are a model that does other types of work too, this is likely to be a problem After all, who wants to photograph a model with bruises.whip marks or even cuts if its not part of the shoot ?

So all in all, not a simple issue and IMHO not exclusively linked to the customers of this type of films and their own physical characteristics..

i think it is the same with all media..the women are hot with perfect bodies..which is unrealistic..but also it creates pressure for alot of us normal average women with unperfect bodies..it certainly makes me less confident about showing my body off in public..and that is sad..perhaps its just me..but i bet it isn't.. this could also be said for the average man to..as my bf is not perfect..so he stays covered at events etc

The thing I find most bizarre in this thread is the blithe supposition that 'flabby male subs' identify only with like in porn. Does anyone seriously think the personal self image they, or almost anyone else, carries around in their heads conforms to an objective external reality (even if it could be agreed what that was). I'll bet that from time to time even Brown looks in the the mirror in the morning and thinks 'Hey, looking pretty buff today, Gordon."

I believe its a social thing (a general belief that malesubs=unattractive, a domme's comment backs this up) within the bdsm world, all the photography I see on fetlife with m-subs; lets just say their bellys dont look great in skin tight latex
