Starting on Sunday 25th of April in Bristol, a new place to party and let out your secret (or not so secret) side. A night devoted to those who like to dress to excess and are not concerned about turning into work on Monday morning with a slightly (!) bad head and ringing in their ears. A place to go where you can party and express yourself in an environment where the dress code is very strict and enforced by trusted long term BDSM/fetish scene organisers. Live DJ, chill out floor, clean changing areas, 8pm - 4am. Strict Dress Code : Rubber, Leather, Fetish, Gothic, TV, Burlesque, OTT, No Effort = No Entry, Smart black will not be enough to get you through the door, when we say Bizarre we mean it! No dungeon or play equipment so please leave those heavy toy bags at home.

Every fourth Sunday of the month launching on April 25th with a special entry price of only £5! Venue: Lounge@30, 30 Clare Street, Bristol, BS1 1YH (SWAMP venue). Website to follow very soon.

So what you are inviting people to, is a fancy dress disco?

I wasn't planning to go. Just curious.

Aye, lots of people are into that kind of club, witness the lasting success of Torture Garden type gigs. Not my kind of thing at all, but I certainly respect being clear about what's what, so good luck to them anyways. Have a blast!

There is certainly a gap for that type of club in Bristol. Now that Club O has dropped the fetish nights and gone mainstream / gay there is no venue in Bristol for fetish. But there are plenty of people who enjoy "dress up discos" which combine eroticism and freedom with respect.

The idea behind Club Bizarre is to bring together kinky types of all persuasions who enjoy various aspects of alternative/fetish sexuality and want a night out clubbing in a safe environment. Serious BDSM play and drinking don't make the best mix so we've kept this one seperate to keep it safe for everyone. There are a lot of good play clubs around for those who want that, this night is for those who want their kink served well dressed and lively! It's all good, do your own thing and be happy.

I agree - there are lots of people who like to dress up and dance. I'm not really into fetish wear, so it's not my kinda thing - but hey, it's a GOOD thing to have more fetish-friendly events in the Southwest, isn't it? No event's gonna appeal to everybody, and I applaud the organizers for finding a gap in what's available and trying to fill it.

Wishing you a successful launch. :)
