I was discussing Bettie Page with somebody today, and they said "but that's who you look like when you're dressed up". I don't agree, wishful thinking indeed, but I'm pleased as punch!

That was followed by me going to see the bods upstairs. I'm yet again, pathetically trying to grow my fringe out - so it's too long, and dangling in my eyes. To counter this, I'm using a pair of glasses as an improptu alice band. His comment was "Wow, never seen you with your hair back like that, you look about 24 or 25". I don't of course, but that was a lovely ego boost!

Lastly, one of my bosses thought (for reasons unkown to me) that I was a porn star, LMFAO!! Now, I'm not, never have been and never will be, but even the thought that at 44 and being plumptious, somebody could think I am is quite flattering!

We watched The Notorious Bettie Page on Sunday. Her life story isn't that fascinating TBH, but she was somebody doing something that she saw no harm in, and of course she was right. Her pin-up girl career was brought to a end with the moralistic 1950s Senate investigation, and her finding God at much the same time. To me, she remains the pin-up queen, she's gorgeous. I do wonder though, was Irving Klaw as benign as he was portayed in the film. Hmmmmm. It's funny how times change. Her photos and lil films were so innocent compared to today's gratuitous violence, sex, blown-up titties and obvious sexuality. It was sweet n feminine, even the bondage scenes were a giggle! Not the best film ever, but I loved the outfits!
