• Once you get over the initial weirdness of meeting a firm of people from the internet, it's a good laugh. Cheers to everyone who made the effort to speak to me when I first showed up and was overly engrossed in Man Utd's shameful (i.e. hilarious) capitulation.
• Garlic Shots: madarse little place but good with it. I didn't really have a clue what was going on in the back room, except that being a meerkat is apparently a bad thing. Very funny to watch from a distance, though.
• I sound like Cheryl Cole, apparently. That's a new one.
• Ruislip has 5 train stations. Cheers Rapunzel. And benny hats are the in look for terrorists this Spring, so I'm told. Cheers Rapunzel.
• Groping girls is perfectly acceptable downstairs in the Slug and Lettuce but when I try it on the tube all Hell breaks loose... political correctness gone made, it is.
• I don't know nearly as much about Russian sociology as I thought I did. And let me tell you, I thought I knew a lot.
• Want to invest in an exciting business venture? Scouse lessons are going to be huge in the second half of 2010. Especially in Sweden. You know it makes sense, laaa.
• Never write off the Germans.

All in all a good night. At the risk of sounding cheesey it was nice how many interesting, intelligent, attractive (inside and outside) people there are on the scene. Cigars all round. Now I just need to find a convincing Vladimir Nabokov costume...

I hope there are more like it!
