Great thought provoking thread one and all! It would seem then, that all the books I own containing images (the definition of a 'cartoon' meaning a sketch) by Hans Bellmer, Von Bayros, Egon Schiele, Balthus and Aubrey Beardsley, are by definition works of criminal intent? Mind you Schiele got busted back in the early days of the 20th Century, but his work survived... What about literature? Will Sade's '120 days fo Sodom' be banned for its graphic descriptions of the violation of minors? |

let's not forget the countless paintings in galleries all over the world depicting minors (by today's standards). In ancient Greece for instance pederastry was commonplace particullarly amongst the aristocracy, so many forms of artwork from or about this era (some of which being worth millions) depict the act-how far will it extend? |
