...to fill out my UCAS form ... it's the last thing I want to be doing on a sunny Sunday afternoon :(

I may not be experiencing the joys of filling a UCAS form out but I am currently trying to sort out a CV for the first time in 5 or 6 years, so my afternoon is looking equally naff.

Depression is really just anger without enthusiasm.

Those personal statements are buggers, but it's totally worth it when you get your offers. I'm off to study English Literature and Creative Writing in 2011, what are you applying for?

"Once when I was in Hawaii, on the island of Kauai, I met a mysterious old stranger. He said he was about to die and wanted to tell someone about the tresure. I said, "Okay, as long as it's not a long story. Some of us have a plane to catch, you know." He stared telling hes story, about the treasure and his life and all, and I thought: "This story isn't too long." But then, he kept going, and I started thinking, "Uh-oh, this story is getting long." But then the story was over, and I said to myself: "You know, that story wasn't too long after all." I forget what the story was about, but there was a good movie on the plane. It was a little long, though. "

I put this, this awful bit of text, into my personal statement and still got an offer for the course I wanted. Making me doubt they read them at all.

Hmmmmmm.
