how did you come out to your parents? (4)

It's always a hard one, how to tell those you love that you are gay/bi/trans/lesbo/sexslave/Dom-me.

When i had to come out as trans the subject had already been brought up before when i was in my first year at university and experimented with gender, before that there were other things such as starting a nail painting trend among the boys in college (lol).

There were signs from when i was born that i was a bit different but when i sat my mum and dad down to tell my dad what was happening (after many discussions with mum) i can remember what he said because it's so infuriatingly innocent, "i thought you just liked playing with dolls"!!!

The family have been great about it, but then my parents are ex-hippies so very little shocks them and the others just accepted it. My brother may not know how to take it and my Dad struggles just as much as he did when i was a boy.

So, how did you come out?

They can't really cope with it, they're too old fashioned its a shame really Personally I don't think its something your parents need to know, unless you're very close and think it won't harm your relationship with them The first rule of Brat Club, we don't talk about Brat Club... We are always joking about sex, and we got into the conversation about girl on girl action. my reply was "been there done that", to which he replied "what? you mean you're bi?", confirming what he thought he said "Does your Mum know?", "I don't think so", "Finally I know something before your Mum does!!!"... He was more chuffed about knowing before Mum. I came out about my BDSM to my Mum first over MSN, her reply was just "Well you never know what goes on behind closed doors!", I went on to explain that I joked that Mum was the Domme in the bedroom and Dad was the sub, to which she replied "Well you never know what goes on behind closed doors!" Since then I have found that my parents have been into spanking and dress up. Also they've seen Kinky_V's photos of Stella and are quiet impressed with my photography. It's a shame there aren't more open minded people like my folks. Life is a game, it just depends how you play it. They will not force us, They will stop degrading us, They will not control us, We will be victorious. The thread of fabrication will unravel with the hands of time.

(well am not about to say vagina or fuck) i thought my mum was pretty open minded .... and dad is about most things but doesn't like to think about gayness. They're free thinking liberals, however my dad is someone who judges people by whether they agree with his own ethics. i think he could teach Richard Dawkins a thing or two about bigotry (LMFAO!) rebel, damn fucking lucky although my mum has confessed to letting my dad spank her once before and didn't like it.
