In running with the post from BlackPanther,I am very sad to say that late Saturday evening,George committed suicide at his home. No one could have done anything about this, but that doesn't make this news any easier to convey.I am in tears and so very upset that one of my best friends has gone. I just hope above all else, that he is now at peace. Love you loads darlin'

George did so much for people around him both in and off the 'scene'. The time he was prepared to give to other people, the smiles and words of encouragement, the enthusiasm for the munches and events he ran or was involved in made him stand out in all sorts of ways. Yes, he will be missed by all that he came into contact with and he helped improve the lives of many that never met him. I shall miss him.
The older I get the more I recall.........how little I knew when I knew it all. |

Not sure what to say... although I did not know him as well as the rest of you he was the sort of person you just liked. I will carry fond memories of Ex and he will be sadly missed.

Suicide ripples outwards and touches many other lives.. Try to forgive him - at least now he has some peace. Nicki |

Sad and terrible news Always a gent welcoming and humerous. What more can you ask and say about him. Had much respect for the man. RIP Ex God's gift - but don't expect it instantly. |

Ex you will be missed we didn't always agree with each other's point of view. But some of my best nights was your birthday party and the drag night (for the charity that he supported) But the last conversation we had was the one which meant a lot to me. Hope you have found peace. Another one bites the dust. Edited 21 Mar 10, 5:40 AM by hollythedolly |

George will be missed, one of the characters of the Manchester scene, I hope he has found peace now He will be remembered and as long as at least one of us keeps his memory alive, he will live on A woman tells her doctor, 'I've got a bad back.' The doctor says, 'It's old age.' The woman says, 'I want a second opinion.' The doctor says: 'Okay - you're ugly as well.' |
