Being alone in an isolation cell with no stimulus can play strange tricks on the mind, that can be fun for you as your mind will race away with all kind of thoughts, it will depend how well you know and trust your mistress. But one thing you should perhaps consider is some method of contact with your mistress from the cell, only to be used in case of emergency with dire consequences for misuse, but I feel safety must always be first with all play. It is possible you could have a panic attack, ( I had a panic attack once 15 years into a relationship with the same mistress so it can happen), or some medical issue could happen, I know an hour is not long in the scheme of things but always remember sods law.

Fair point about panic button, all it needs is a domestic doorbell - with as you say dire consequences for misuse. Is a "call of nature" fair use of the panic button??

Why not read “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman before going to your seclusion? A Victorian work, told in the first person, about a woman who is 'confined' following childbirth; the normal practice in those times. However, her well-meaning physician husband is somewhat over-zealous in that he keeps her isolated in the small, locked room, for three months. To keep herself from being bored, she begins to study the decaying, yellow wallpaper minutely. Take your time with this short novella and join her, one minute step at a time, in the descent into insanity. "He took a single sip of her pain and found it exquisite"

The one time I have been shut up in a cell on my own, I was totally bored. Bored, bored, bored. No idea how long I was either going to be in there, nor any idea how long I was left in it - and I did have room to lie down, albeit not enough room to stretch out. The most boring time ever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I tried to do half an hour, dressed as the maid in my 4" heels - how women who sell perfumes in Boots/Airports (and other similar jobs) stand on their heels all day long defeats me! I dropped the coin 3 times, only managed 25 minutes before my ankles gave out, and got ten extra lashes for my failings - yes it certainly concentrates the mind! GWS Before you judge me, consider if at any time during the reading of this ... you've been aroused. If the answer is yes then you must judge both of us.

The isolation cell sounds like heaven to me, but the standing up isn't practical, I couldn't physically cope with that right now. But sitting comfortably or lying down... oh yum. I would just meditate I think, a sort of heightened awareness state. I really REALLY want to try the sensory deprivation tanks, that sounds wonderful!
I have to go for a brain scan every few months and I love being in the MRI... head wedged still, body warm and comfortable, and the headphones and extremely loud clicks and bangs of the machine to kind of focus on but at the same time tune out. And of course head in a very enclosed space. I don't think they get many people who actually like it, they treat you as if you are petrified and likely to have panic attacks in there. Haha. The only thing that would make it even better would be wrapping me up in clingfilm or rubber... maybe I'd get that privately, but pretty sure the NHS don't do 'extras', hehe.
