When I was married I lived in Highgate. In Estate Agent's terms Highgate is N6 . Over the road to me was N6 - round the corner to me was N6 (I even was the Councillor for Highgate) but by some weird reason the Post Office put us in N2. Miles away from us, nowhere near what would be called Highgate (places like Holloway and Archway) were also N6 and Estate Agents called them "Highgate Borders" or "Highgate Edge" etc.
The Post Code made an adverse difference of £000's to our place because of "N6 snobbery"
