That's why we run it right at the beginning of the evening whilst there is room in the playroom. You are quite right Alex, it gets far too busy at ISIS later in the evening for whip cracking.

Fondly remembers cracking whips on the Heath last summer to practise and some free advice - great evening fun followed by a visit to a local pub for refreshments.

I'm going to be giving a series of workshops in Birmingham over the summer, covering both short and long single tail whips plus canes and other impact weapons. If there's enough interest it could be done in competence levels.

LOL how far is Birmingham from Reading with a very dodgy GPS....

Also can't wait to catch up with the whips in the park people... Victoria Park... hehe don't think I have a clue where that is... prays that it is towards the west... off to google it now..

Well, I think the Downs are fairly unique as they're controlled by the Downs Committee (a creation of the Society of Merchant Venturers), so it's hard to read across from the charter for the downs to any other sort of land; public, common or otherwise.

The Preston gathering hasn't run for about 2 years, DM was going to try to revive it but nothing much seems to have happened.
