when downloading photos to this site, is it required that the subjects of said photos give their consent to be shown, especially should they be vanilla ?

Sorry but not sure what you mean

what I mean is, if I were to upload a picture, and in that picture someone who was not from IC was clearly identified, would their permission be required for that picture to be used. Given the nature of this site, someone for example who was vanilla might object to a clearly identifiable picture of themselves being displayed here Edited 18 Mar 10, 12:11 AM by bratyboyslim

I don't think that is clear in the AUP. Are the said people identifiable? For me it would be a moral question...I personally would never post a photo of anyone without their explicit permission, whether it was easy to see it was them or not. I think some people believe that once they have taken a pic, that image belongs to them..."models" as possessions forevermore? Maybe those tribes that refuse to have their photo taken because it steals your soul are onto something...you put a hell of a lot of trust in someone when you let them point a camera at you.

It is against the AUP As it says on the picture upload page: No one other than you in the picture unless they give their consent Why don't cash machines have a Gamble button?

Ah...the man what knows. So I'm guessing the next step would be hitting the report button? Or would it be politer to just memo the person along the lines of ..."I know what you did...and it's BAD!!!"

That would mean Admin would have to tell themselves off after the Gordon Brown piccy episode. Why don't cash machines have a Gamble button?

I would inform our mighty leader. They can at least do something about it if the poster of the picture ignores you. Why don't cash machines have a Gamble button? |
