Living in Leeds, myself and other half were planning on going to skintwo north this weekend. We intended to make a full day of it going to the market and Hotel BDSM open day during the afternoon.
I emailed HOTEL a week ago - as it says to do - no reply - called them tonight and the bloke on the other end of the phone just said cancelled, sorry, no explanation Doesnt bode well for the rest of the weekend ...especially as its still being adevrtised on their website - anybody any ideas whats going on as he wasnt very forthcoming ? also assuming market and main event is still on as we have tickets and are well looking forward to it ...... any news most welcome Edited Mon 15 Mar 10, 9:44 PM by voyageofdiscovery2 | ||

Hotel BDSM is independently owned and run from SkinTwoNorth so I doubt the cancellation of it's Open Day will have the slightest effect on the Skin Two event. Thanks for the quick reply - however, I am well aware the 2 are independent - my point being if it is cancelled it should at least be so on the skintwonorth website (with or without a suitable explanation), then at least everyone knows where they stand ............ | ||

god why is everyone so doom and gloom? one thing got maybe - perhaps - could be cancelled and people are worried that the event will be a flop... you know, if any of you realised how hard it would be to put on even a small event, never mind a massive one then youd understand why websites dont get updated before the chinese whispers do! *screams* and calm j xx have you heard about Dystopia? | ||

and its not chinese whispers, its straight from the horses mouth !!! (well ok the bloke that answers the Hotel phone, and to be fair to him if anyone should know, he should !!)

It was probably cancelled at the last minute! Updating the website cold be a massive task taking time best sited to making sure the event itself is still ticking along with all the last minute arrangements. Th only peopl who may be unsure are those who have called Hotel BDSM. Even then there is no reason for you to think that the event in Leeds is affected. Hotel BDSM is in Dewsbury.
