Talking to a scene friend of mine recently who is really struggling financially I jokingly suggested she should do a bit of Pro-domming on the side to earn a little much needed cash. Surprisingly she said she would have already done that had her boyfriend not been totally against it. It made me wonder how many girls would think of this as an option to struggling with money especially if they or their partner have lost their jobs. The consequences of long term unemployment are pretty dire, so it might seem an attractive option under the circumstances. It is not unknown for girls to turn to prostitution, at least temporarily, to keep themselves and their children under a roof, put food on the table and live a reasonable quality of life. So Pro-Domming would seem a soft option in comparison. NF Edited Mon 15 Mar 10, 7:51 PM by NightFox

My partner and sub recently suggested this as something i could do in order to pay my debts off. He is convinced that i would make money on it. Its certainly food for thought.

There are a lot of costs that perhaps people do not consider 1) Premises 2) Equipment 3) Clothing 4) Insurance 5) Advertising Add to that there is a hell of a lot of competition out there and an awful lot of time wasters and it often turns out not to be quite as easy as it may seem on paper BUT .... If you are starting from the point of having good premises, equipment, etc then you are half way there and "nothing ventured, nothing gained" "You and you alone make me feel that I am alive. Morally etc I have no issue with it, I just couldn't do it because I'd feel like I was "cheating" the clients. I'm a sub, and it would just seem like false advertising. That said, I could never pro sub to someone. XxX

I'd disagree that pro domming is a soft option!

Pro domming is bloody hard work, and needs a substantial amount of investment in kit and clothing to even start on the bottom rung of the ladder. Pro domming is not easy money. I do sometimes wonder where the break-even point comes for a pro-domme. I know friends of mine have spent about £30,000 kitting out dungeons, picking up gear bit by bit. I've easily spent knocking on for £1000, and that fits into a couple of roll-bags. |
