I'm currently mid-journey, and will be expecting to change trains in Manchester this afternoon. Imagine my surprise when, just as I was leaving Preston, my phone informed me that its the munch this afternoon. Good job I decided to check IC; it seems that the day I decide to drop in on impulse is always a new venue (I managed to miss the old Lancaster one twice through that, and I think one of the Manchester picnics too) Edited to add: Great to see folks again. Sorry I didn't stay longer, but I'm not comfortable around crowds. Either its a lot louder than I remember, or I've got worse at coping since last year. Edited 20 Mar 10, 2:14 PM by MisterAngel

Thanks to everyone - was a lovely munch and good to see so many new faces around. Thanks to Foo for leaping into the breach with the illness of our glorious leader. Hoping to see everyone at Lash and the next U35s and all the chaps at our next Gent's Munch :D Written something good? Share it with the rest of us: www.witlessmaunderings.com

From a newbie to the U35munch, it was really good. Mr Foo did to act as the leader and remembered the A-Z, and thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Definitely glad i came along, and i'd highly recommend it to others contemplating popping along.
The food was really nice too, and i think the cheesecake was a winner

Good Munch, once I woke up and started nattering. Good food, yummy pizza and a beer for a fiver, come on now! Space may be a problem though, just about worked with the number today, but many more and might have been too squashed. Your so pretty when your on your knees. Disinfected, eager to please Edited 20 Mar 10, 7:19 PM by poutanaki

Glad you all had fun, and my sincere gratitude to Mr Foo for stepping in for me. I seem to have gone past the apex of this rather debilitating illness - managed to get out of bed today yay! When I'm a bit more with it I'll see what I can do about getting a larger area sectioned off... Compliance for fun? Hell yes.

We did actually have an extra table saved, but the place was getting very full with only 5 of us there at the time so I gave up one of the tables so the bar didn't have to turn people away when there are 3 tables that weren't being actively used. The main issues for me was that the music was a bit too loud, and the acoustics a bit too poor to be able to have any conversations across the group, only really with those in the immediate vicinity unfortunately. |
